Once upon a time

There was a girl, a teenage girl.

She had a sweet face and made lot of friend.

But one day,

The girl fall in love with a boy.

And starting that day,

The girl tries to avoid all of her friend

Especially the boys...

Just to make sure that the boy she love

Didn’t get jealous...

Months pass by and still the girl is in relationship with that boy.

Although the boy that she love

Really gives her lots of pain and always make her cry

She still loves him…

One day,

A friend of her,

A boy

Who she dumps right after she decides her mind upon

Accepting that boy that she admire to be her lover,

Suddenly contact her back.

Since she actually missing and really want to keep in touch

With the others,

She then gives a response to him

And latter they being good friends once more.

That friend of hers always

Bugging her to meet him,

‘Just as friend’ he said.

But the girl refused

Since she didn’t want her lover to know

About that friend of hers.

because

She actually contacts that friend of hers without him knowing…

Despite that

They keep in touch and nothing seems to be wrong.

Until one day…

It is a summer break.

The sun shone brightly and the air is so good.

What a perfect day to go out.

But since she is having a part time job at the town nearby,

That idea seems won’t be happened.

That afternoon

When she is busy arranging the stuff that just arrived

She got a call.

From a friend of hers, that boy.

He told her that he is in the town

And he wants to see her.

She is so shocked to hear that since that friend of her

Didn’t contact her for a couple of weeks.

Of course, she refused to meet him

This time not because of her lover

But because she didn’t want the town folks to see

She seeing him.

She live in a small town

Where the folks there know each other and always putting their

Nose in everything that others did.

Especially teenagers.

One wrong turn that you made

Then get ready to be the latest top news all over that town.

She didn’t want her family to be blame for the things that she did

So she thinks of meting that friend of hers later.

After all,

He is the one who surprisingly come there

Without noticing her first.

It’s his fault.

And more, she still in working hour,

She didn’t have the guts to skipping her working time...

‘He should understand my situation’ she thinks.

So she tries to make that friend of hers understand her condition

But seem like that friend of hers just ignoring what she said

And blaming her for not seeing him.

That friend of her then go back

And left her speechless over the phone.

Later that night

He text her.

He scolds her for not seeing him.

He said that she being to naive and

Freely let that lover of hers to control her life.

Although they aren’t married yet.

He said that she is a dumb girl since she thought

That going out

Only the two of them

Will make other people talked about it.

She didn’t know what to say

so she keeps in silence

And let the friend of hers to say whatever he wants.

In the same time

She did thinking about what he aid.

And what others said too.

That she is to dumb for letting her life being controlled

By someone that did not own her life.

She didn’t want to loose her lover

And yet she won’t loose that friend of hers anymore…

Suddenly,

‘If you really think that i am your friend

Then let’s go out when you got back to the college.’

He said.

Then she replied,

‘So, if I can’t made it, then you will think that I am not

Approving you as my friend?’

‘Shit. I know that you will say like that.

What is the importance of him to you?

Why can’t you see me?

What, is he a god that can control and judge you?

Who the hell are you thinking he is?

He’s not even your husband!!’

And all of his text afterwards

Are just too hard for her to accept.

Yes, she know that she is wrong

For letting that lover of hers control and change her bit by bit.

But still

Why can’t he understand that there are lots of heart that

She needs to care of?

This is her hometown.

This is where her parents live.

Her pride is her family’s pride to.

She doesn’t want to mess up her family’s name

Just because of him.

This is not the first time this kind of situation happened to her.

Lots of time

And she knows that she can’t bear it anymore.

She text her lover

Saying that this will be the last text by her

Since there won’t be any more ‘US’ after this.

Her lover shocked.

Why suddenly making this choice?

He thinks that she had another lover and only makes a fool of him.

He hangs up the phone with anger filing his thought and heart.

She cried and cried

Because she knows that she won’t be seeing that lover of hers again…

And because she know that he won’t know the truth why is she

Making the decision

Because she really didn’t have any choice…

With that she left

Leaving all that she love

Praying so hard

Hopping that nobody will remember her…

Because she knew she can’t be

A good friend all along…
